When to use ILL
Interlibrary loan is the next step available for use when you cannot find the resources you need through our library catalog (Library Catalog) or in our online resources (Online Resources).
You can request books or articles. Books can take up to 2 weeks to receive and articles generally take between 1-2 days.
When you request books, please check the Library Catalog before requesting through ILL.
When requesting articles, please check the Full Text Periodical List and search for the Journal, Magazine or Newspaper title to see if we have it in print or online in full text.
Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows library users to request materials not owned by the Dixie University library.
By requesting books and articles through the interlibrary loan system, you have access to the materials available in libraries across the United States. Books will be sent by mail or courier, but you can get many of your scholarly articles more quickly through Electronic Delivery.
